Kuma’s ongoing interest is based on new material research and his architectural oeuvre is focused in merging his buildings and installation the cultural and environmental surroundings, with humans always at the centre of his work. She is interested in critical approaches to achieving sustainability in a mass consumption, production-driven context. For Spring Summer 2018, she has created the Valextra Toothpaste bags collection. READ MORE EL GATO CHIMNEY El Gato Chimney (Marco Campori) was born in 1981 in Milan, where he lives and works. Self-taught, with a background as a street artist abandoned in favor of a more introspective exploration in the studio, he dedicates his time to the research of a wide variety of subjects: primitive and sacred art, esoterism, folklore and natural history. He has created the illustrations printed all-scale on Valextra scarves for Fall Winter 2018. OZMO Ozmo is an Italian street artist who made his first steps in the comics world, but since early 90s he has moved his focus on writing and painting. In short time his tag have become one of the most famous and respected ones in the Italian graffiti scene. For Valextra, he has transformed the covered facade of the soon-to-be-opened store in Chengdu, China in a temporary wall painting that played on Italianness and its cultural icons. TOMMASO SARTORI Tommaso Sartori is an Italian photographer based in Paris, who was enlisted by Valextra to document the Spring Summer 2018 special edition’s cultural environs through a photographic essay. Sartori traveled to Japan to capture moody, nocturnal views that create a fitting context for the collection and frame Valextra’s visual references through a series of enchanting sequences. MONEYLESS Born in Milan in 1980 Teo Pirisi aka Moneyless is a street artist who has developed his own artistic career, bringing his artworks in public spaces as well as abandoned spots. In December 2018, he has transformed the façade of Milan boutique into a large-scale abstract painting made of geometric forms and entwined layers of colors. MARCO PIETRACUPA Marco Pietracupa is an Italian photographer, excelling in portraying strong personalities with his signature flash-lit candor. He is the author of Valextra Personal Subject, dedicated to the creative community that revolves around Milan. SNARKITECTURE American duo Snarkitecture is formed by Alex Mustonen and Daniel Arsham, ‘archi-artists’ whose installations mix reality and imagination. Focusing on the colour white, their works have appeared in the world’s most important museums and in collaborations with international fashion brands, such as the Valextra annual boutique makeover in Milan. PHILIPPE MALOUIN Based in London, Canadian designer Philippe Malouin creates interiors, design products and installations in collaborations with his studio, Post-Office. His works, created for international brands, fuse technology and geometrical forms. He has designed Valextra boutique in London, Mount Street SHINGO MASUDA Japanese architectural office, Shingo Masuda + Katsuhisa Otsubo architects. Their architectural works are characterized by studies of the fundamental of architecture. PRINCE LAUDER Hailing from Mexico City, artist Prince Lauder creates images using collage techniques. His works combine the glamour of fashion images with the irreverence of cartoon elements. Topped off by colorful brushstrokes, for a pop result. He has created a series of special illustrations for Saint Valentine 2017. CLYM EVERNDEN Clym Evernden is an award-winning British artist and art director. His signature ink-based style has evolved over time to include set design, animation and mixed media. He has created a series of illustrations for the Autumn Winter 2016-17. LORENZO VITTURI Born in Venice, Lorenzo Vitturi lives and works in London and Milan as a photographer and sculptor. His art mixes streetcast portraiture, re-photographed collages and unusual assemblages made with found objects. For Salone del Mobile 2016, Lorenzo has created a series of new window displays, styled photographs, and a towering sculpture BERNARD DUBOIS Bernard Dubois is a Belgian architect based in Brussels. His practice ranges from architecture to furniture design and his studio works on fashion stores, art galleries and residential projects. In 2016, he has worked on the project for the Valextra boutique annual makeover PETER SAVILLE Machester-born, London- based Peter Saville is a pivotal figure in contemporary visual culture, working across the mediums of music, art and fashion with remarkable freedom. He has created a special installation for the presentation of the Spring 2016 collection. NINA YASHAR Nina Yashar, founder of worldwide renown Milanese Nilufar gallery is one of the leading dealers on the international scene. She has curated Valextra’s environment for its SS16 Men’s Collection presentation. MARTINO GAMPER Italian designer Martino Gamper lives and works in East London. His wide-ranging practice is underpinned by a special love of craft, creativity and colorful aesthetic. In Spring 2015, Martino has both created a special collection of bags and magnets and a the products installation.
