Valextra crafts its leather products using only the highest quality, full-grain leather, renowned for its rich, multi-dimensional color and depth. Our artisanal process is designed to carefully preserve the leather's natural features, like veins, pores, and subtle color undertones. These unique traits attest to our leather's exceptional quality and the integrity of its grain. To best preserve your Valextra item, we recommend you take the following steps:



To best preserve your Valextra item, we recommend you take the following steps: 


  • Keep it away from humidity, rain, sources of heat and over-exposure to direct light or rays of the sun


  • Avoid contact with alcohol, perfumes, oils and cosmetics


  • Avoid excessive loading to preserve its shape over time


  • Always store the bag vertically on the feet, in the original packaging. Insert the supplied cushion or the tissue papers inside to preserve its shape avoiding any deformation. It is advisable to roll up the shoulder strap and make sure that the handles are not bent


  • Avoid using waterproofing products


  • Avoid contact with abrasive materials


  • Avoid contact between dark and light surfaces to prevent color migration. It is recommended not to put it in direct contact with clothes or objects of contrasting colors


  • Avoid dark-coloured surfaces and light-coloured surfaces coming into contact to prevent colour migration


  • In case of contact with water, wipe the surface with a clean, dry and soft light-coloured cloth


  • To clean leather and metal hardware, wipe the surface with a clean, dry and soft light-coloured cloth


  • It is not recommended to use cleaning products that are not adapted to Valextra leather

Valextra offers repairing and maintenance to leather items, these services include – between others which might differentiate based on the products – handbag cleaning, costa edging repainting, general pampering and hardware cleaning and polishing.


Valextra has structured its aftercare services to be readily accessible to its clientele through multiple channels. Repair services can be requested at all Valextra retail stores or through our online Customer Service. The establishment of dedicated Valextra Repairs service centers in Italy Japan and China further enhances accessibility in these key markets, offering specialized expertise and potentially faster turnaround times.

Guarantees and Non-Conformity of Valextra Products


Valextra products comply with the national and European Community legislation in force in Italy. All products by Valextra are covered by the Legal Guarantee of Conformity provided for in Articles 128-135 septies of the Italian Consumer Code (“Legal Guarantee”). The Legal Warranty is reserved for consumers.


Valextra is liable to the consumer for any conformity defect existing at the date of delivery or at the date of purchase of the product and manifesting itself within two years after such date. Claims for defects that were not fraudulently concealed by the seller are time-barred within 26 months from the above date.
